July 14, 2018 was a big day for me. It was Bastille Day and I was in Paris! Bastille Day, Fête Nationale Française as it is known in France, is one of the biggest days in the country. This patriotic holiday is celebrated with a huge military parade down the Champs-Élysées, dances at all the fire halls, and fireworks over la tour Eiffel – the Eiffel Tower.
